CITIZEN ATTESA - New Eco-Drive Radio Controlled models
CITIZEN Watch is launching two new models from the CITIZEN ATTESA line of watches equipped with the latest technologies. These new Eco-Drive Radio Controlled watches have three hands on the dial, creating a simple, uncluttered design.
These new CITIZEN ATTESA light-powered Eco-Drive radio-controlled models are surprisingly compact with cases just under 40 mm wide, but they make a big impact with their sporty designs and stylish hexagonal bezels.
Both models have lustrous black bezels and a gleaming case combining straight lines and smooth surfaces to produce a simple yet solid look that really stands out from the crowd. The all-black dial features rough textures inspired by titanium ore to create a bold, modern look.
ATTESA is a titanium watch brand that represents the pinnacle of CITIZEN’s technological development, and 2025 marks the 55th anniversary of the launch of CITIZEN’s world-first titanium wristwatch. Over the decades, CITIZEN has further refined and perfected its titanium processing technologies, and the company’s consistent leaps forward have produced Super TitaniumTM*2. Never content to rest on its laurels, CITIZEN continues its pursuit of beautiful designs and superior functionality.

*1 Eco-Drive is CITIZEN’s proprietary technology that powers watches using any natural or artificial light source, eliminating the need to replace batteries. Certified as an Eco Mark product for the first time in the watch industry. Radio-controlled watches receive signals from radio transmitters to correct the time and calendar automatically.
*2 Super Titanium™ is CITIZEN’s proprietary technology to treat solid titanium with surface hardening technology. It is at least 5 times harder than stainless steel, resistant to scratches, lightweight and gentle to the skin for comfortable wearing.
*3 Duratect is CITIZEN’s proprietary surface hardening technology that enhances the surface hardness of metals such as stainless steel and titanium, protecting watch bodies from scratches and damage. This technology offers excellent abrasion quality and maintains the luster of metals for long periods of time. Duratect Titanium Carbide has a silver color similar to pure titanium. Titanium carbide technology is commonly used for a range of applications, and CITIZEN’s Duratect Titanium Carbide produces Vickers hardness between 1,000 and 1,200 HV. Duratect DLC achieves Vickers hardness of 1,000-1,400 by creating an amorphous carbon hard film—mainly composed of carbon and hydrogen—on the surface of the material. This technology achieves a high level of Vickers hardness from 1,100 to 1,500 HV (Vickers hardness of stainless steel is approx. 200 HV)

Titanium is heat treated at high temperatures and then cooled, creating a non-uniform structure. This results in crystal-like formations on the surface of the metal, producing unique patterns just like unprocessed titanium ore found in nature. This unique material is used on the bezel and the middle links of the bracelet.
